Ngarek Rebbha


Ngarek rebbha (maduras) is madura people's activity to mow grass by using arek (sickle shaped of knife). It's done especially by person who raising cattle. They do it frequently alone, but some time in group. Go to nearest field at the morning or afternoon, and spend one-two hours to fulfill the container they bring. 

Ngarek rebbha is a male and female activity, even the youth. Every member of cattle breeder family has responsibility to do it. Its need to know, cattle breeder in Madura commonly do at small scale. A family of cattle breeder only raising one or two pairs of cattle. They also as farmers.

All grass on fields commonly is public own. Every body can mow it. We may seen more than one, even many, people mowing grass at one field. They collect the grass quickly as they can. When the grass mow off, they will looking for another fields.

Every farmer childs will be taught how to do this activity.  As mention before, fulfillment of cattle's food are all family member duty.
